I originally qualified in architecture, but my true love lies in painting and drawing. I returned to college as a mature student to complete my training in Fine Art.
Living in Somerset for most of my life, I draw my creativity from the expansive nature of the Somerset Levels with its sweeping vistas and ever-changing light. This provides me with endless inspiration for my ink and acrylic paintings. I am fascinated by the interplay between water, land and sky, creating a captivating tapestry of colours and textures.
I invite the viewer to immerse themselves in this landscape and hope to awaken in them a sense of wonder and appreciation, where they can make their own personal connection with the quiet beauty of the Somerset Levels.
